The origins of quilling are not definitive, but the technique has been found in ancient Egypt and during the Renaissance period in Europe. 

My personal journey with quilling began in 2020 when a friend invited me to attend a workshop by a local artist in Singapore. I had never heard of this quilling before (and honestly only agreed so that we could hang out), but little did I know it would spark a new passion! That's what happens when you open yourself up to new experiences. Try everything once-- that's my motto.

Paper is a deceivingly simply material, but in skilled hands and the right tools, it can be molded and formed into intricate shapes and designs in a far departure from the original. Each strip of paper is carefully cut to a precise width and length, each color is chosen intentionally with the finished design in mind.
